I had heard how amazing the Sunflower Fields in Tuscany were, so a couple of years ago when we were there for a wedding I wanted to capture a photo. We had been there for several days and had not seen one sunflower let alone a field. I was beginning to think I was never going to get my photo. On one of our last days there, we were on our way to Pisa, when we saw a field – it was off the highway and my wonderful family indulged me in my need to take a photo. We got off the highway, drove alone dirt roads, end up in farmer’s fields and eventually found the sunflower field that we saw. I got my photos but what I will always remember is the adventure that we took to get there.
